The brainchild of Counties Power, OpenLoop and is a powerful new app that allows electric vehicle owners to view, book, charge and pay at multiple charging stations across New Zealand.

The challenge?

D&Co were asked to rapidly develop the OpenLoop customer value proposition (CVP), brand strategy, identity, and launch website – while supporting the in-house app development team to create a uniquely powerful user experience.

Powering-up the potential of mobility.

 
 

Our first task? Work with the team at Counties Power to develop a strong customer value proposition (CVP) for the OpenLoop service through insights and customer feedback. Next, we created a supercharged brand strategy and a lively brand identity to bring it all to life. 

The OpenLoop app is innovative, powerful and beautifully simple. So we wanted to make sure that the customer experience reflected the clever features and seamless simplicity that the app offered. The ultimate aim? To make it the only charging app an EV owner would ever need.

The result? A clever, fuss-free way to locate EV charging stations nationwide – with live views, real-time reservations, and low-cost rates – all from your smartphone. 

Counties Power chief executive Judy Nicholl said the project demonstrated how electricity distribution companies could pave the way for the electricity industry – and ultimately unlock greater benefits for consumers.
