D&Co donate $10,000 to Help for Hospo to support hospitality workers in need.

When it came to thinking about Christmas 2021 we couldn’t look past the fact that so many in the hospitality sector had been suffering for so long. We decided to help and reached out to our clients to inform them that we weren’t doing Christmas presents but instead donating $10,000 to the Help for Hospo initiative.

We’re super chuffed to have been able to do so and see our donation do so much good.

Help For Hospo was set up during the Auckland Lockdown of August 20201 to assist hospitality workers who have experienced reduced earning capability through no fault of their own. The initiative relies on the generosity and goodwill of local businesses and individuals like Russell Douglas of D&Co. Russell contacted Help For Hospo off his own bat, motivated by the pain he saw in his local business community of Devopnport.

Blair Duncan, who started the Help For Hospo initiative stated that without people like Russell and businesses like D&Co there is no way we could help the hundreds of hospitality workers that we have reached so far.
